Zoning Department

Zoning is the regulation of the use of land, buildings, and structures by dividing a local government area into districts where different uses are permitted. Zoning regulations also provide other development standards such as required setbacks, maximum building heights, required parking, and other similar regulations. Townships have the authority to enact a zoning resolution, or zoning code, based on Chapter 519 of the Ohio Revised Code.
